MEET WILL

 My  name is William but most people know me as Will. I was born in Peru and  immigrated to the United States in 2007. I grew up in a Spanish  speaking home along with my parents and two brothers. From personal  experience, I can understand and relate to my client's struggles in  adjusting to a new way of life and having to learn a new language.

I  have proudly called Hudson county and New Jersey my home since 2007. I  graduated from North Bergen High school in 2009 and then from New Jersey  City University in 2013 with a double major in Criminal Justice and  Political Science. In 2013, I was awarded a full scholarship to pursue a  Master's program at Nanjing Normal University in Nanjing, China. In  2015, I relocated to North Dakota to attend Law School at the University  of North Dakota (UND). While in law school, I represented clients  before the Immigration court as part of the UND Immigration law clinic,  helped clients with criminal charges as an intern at the Hudson County  Public Defender's Office in New Jersey, and was a law clerk to the  Honorable Minnesota District Court Judge Eric Schieferdecker. After  graduating from law school in 2018, I worked as a faculty/staff for the  Housing Department at UND. In 2019, I went back to school to become a  Private Pilot after being inspired by my many friends and students who  were studying to become airlines pilots. 

I am licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and North Dakota. I currently serve as of counsel at another law office in Union City, NJ.  However, I decided to open my home based law practice to provide low cost legal assistance to people in need. I can proudly say that about 75% of my personal clients are on a pro-bono basis. As a lawyer, it is my goal to fight for and improve the lives of my clients and their families, but more importantly to develop the very same community that has welcomed me with open arms and supported me in every step of my journey.  

When I am not working, you may find me playing soccer at a local park or at a NY Jets or NY Yankees game.
